It’s finished…for now

Above is the north side of the house, looking towards the back yard. below is the back yard.

We did do a rock wall that drops the south side yard down about 3 feet from the level of the sidewalk and front yard.So, we still have some more yard to put in but for right now everything is finished.

Time to move in!

On day 97 they put the final finishes on the house: the sunburst at the top of the peak and the black shutters. We also received our keys and permission to move in. We wouldn’t sign the paperwork to close on our loan until 11 days later. But, we were able to move in the next day.

Day 90

This is a picture of the closet doors in the office. The first ones they put in were more decorative and had more slates. They didn’t match anything else in the house but it looked fine so we didn’t say anything. They must have realized they had switched the doors because today we have doors that match the rest of our house.

Now we have appliances and a staircase out the back door.

 

 

 

 

 

Voila! The stucco and rock on the outside are finished.

Are we there yet???

The week of August 13th they started the stucco on the outside of our house. The soffit and fascia was attached. They put in the carpets and the countertops.

New Carpet! We were very excited to see the carpet. Anthony appreciated the open space. He would run and fall and laugh and get up and do it again.
