House: Day 19-25

Day 19:

Yay! we have a basement floor!

The next day they poured the driveway. And then let it all cure over the weekend.

 

 

Day 24: They start framing. Bryan is standing next to the support wall that runs the length of our house. The other picture I am standing on the wall of the house looking at where the stairs will be.

Day 25: We have a floor!

Above I am standing next to the cold storage. The left picture is of the opening to the family room and the right picture is of the doorways to the bathroom and one of the bedrooms that will be downstairs.

Above is a view of most of the basement from the south end of the house. Bryan is standing next to a stack of window frames that were in the driveway. On the left I am standing at the bottom of the stairs and Bryan is poking his head out from behind where the stairs will be.

House: First 18 days

Day 1: Hole is marked

It took a while for them to start digging and I forgot the camera so we missed a few steps like digging the hole and pouring the footings.
Day 10: Cement is Poured

Day 17: Plumbing laid and rough grading

You can see Bryan standing in the right hand corner. He is looking down at the room for our cold storage which will be under the front porch.
Here’s the window wells on the south side. There is a pretty steep slope to the back of the house.
They did the rough grading and backfilled around the foundation which was fun to watch.












Day 18: They filled in the gravel before they pour the cement floor. Above is looking into our cold storage and to the left I am standing in the garage.

Anthony’s 1st camping trip.

It didn’t take 5 min for Anthony to get dirty but we let him play in the dirt until he tried to put a dirt clod in his mouth.

Here’s our 3 room camping lodge.

He was pretty good until he got tired. Then he liked to be held and just look at the fire.

Anthony’s First Swim

On June 6th Conservice had a work party at the Logan Aquatic Center so we were able to take Anthony swimming. The water was warm in the kiddie pool and Anthony just splashed and splashed. He would splash and then wipe the water out of his eyes and splash again. He didn’t cry or wine for the half hour we were in the pool. So, we bought a little blow-up kiddie pool so he can go swimming more often this summer.

The Train Park

We went to the train Park with Gordon, Karen, their kids, Zachary, Daphne, and the Kerr family. There was lots of trains to look at and a few we could ride.

There was a big one where we could sit in the cars and take a 10 min ride around the park. Anthony stood up facing the back of the seat for the whole ride without any fussing and no help at all.

There was also a little train where we sat 1 person to a car and had each of the kids held on by an adult. I didn’t get any pictures of this one because I was holding Anthony. But, he sat still the whole time, just looking at everything as we went past.

There was a tunnel we went through on the little train. Anthony was sitting in front of me facing forward. Each time we went in the tunnel he would look up at me to make sure I was still there.

There was also a train to play on and we got the grandkids together for a picture.Bryan and I agreed it’s a place we want to go back to.

The first food Anthony gets to feed himself is…graham crackers!

Anthony is almost big enough to keep himself on Daddy’s back while he crawls around.

 

While he is growing up he will still fall asleep in our arms on occasion.
