74 days

It's been 74 days since they marked the hole on our lot and we're getting more and more excited every day. Today they put the cabinets in. It was fun to walk around the kitchen and be able to get a feel of the space.

Here's a view of all the kitchen, I'm standing next to the stairs that lead to the basement. The pantry door you can see on the left side of the picture and the refrigerator will be right next to it. The oven/stove and microwave go in the next empty spot. The sink will be beneath the window and the dishwasher just on this side of it. 

3 Weeks!

We have three weeks until our expected close date and we feel like we're getting close! They have finished the mudding and painting. Yesterday they put in all the hard floors. We thought the tile in the entry way and the linolium in the laundry and bathrooms matched pretty well.

The next step is cabinets and counter tops, both of which should go in this week. We are still waiting to see when the guys show up to do the stucco on the outside. We are also hoping to have some landscaping done this month but are waiting on some quotes from the landscape guy.

Sheet rock

Day 53: All of the ceilings had sheet rock and some of the walls. There was also some new things on the roof as well as the gas meter on the south side of the house.

Day 54: All of the sheet rock finished

Electrical work

They did most of the rough electrical on day 42.


Above is the laundry room and below is the kitchen, that’s why all the electrical outlets are in the middle of the wall.

Here’s the can lights in the kitchen ceiling and the main power coming in on the side of the garage.

Adding stairs, heating and A/C

Day 38

We have stairs!

They also did all the rough plumbing and we were able to talk to the plumber and get some ideas on how to put in the bathroom in the basement.

Day 39: Here’s our energy efficient furnace and the trench for our connection to electricity.

Day 41: they did all the duct work.

Days 31 - 34

Day 31today they put up most of the walls…





Day 33
They finished the outer walls and put up most of the trusses and interior framing. Still no stairs though.


 We were pretty excited that they did most of the interior framing in 1 day.



Day 34: Most of the plywood is on the roof.

House: Day 19-25

Day 19:

Yay! we have a basement floor!

The next day they poured the driveway. And then let it all cure over the weekend.

 

 

Day 24: They start framing. Bryan is standing next to the support wall that runs the length of our house. The other picture I am standing on the wall of the house looking at where the stairs will be.

Day 25: We have a floor!

Above I am standing next to the cold storage. The left picture is of the opening to the family room and the right picture is of the doorways to the bathroom and one of the bedrooms that will be downstairs.
